It's easy to see at night, in the quiet upstairs room, looking out the window at the mountains, what the choices I made for the day did to my life. Giving a coworker a muffin and chiding him to eat breakfast more. Answering emails from my boss with short answers. Working on AR's coming up the pipe. Buying a new laptop since the old one broke (and I know I'm too fed up to get it fixed). Coming home to find our house cleaned by the sortakindamaybe girlfriend of one of the roommates. Watching yet another 2 episodes of the X-Files before bed.
This is the sum of my day.
The things I enjoyed the most out of it, felt the best about? Surprisingly the work I did today getting AR's straightened out and figuring out a new procedure along with playing with the new computer. The muffin was a cute moment - the cleaned house by non-resident odd.
But that's life, isn't it? Just another odd bird recognizing a sitting duck day.
I used to write in paper journals when I was a kid - then LiveJournal for years. Since both are feeling rather obsolete, I'll try my hand at blogging. The freeform consciousness that abounds on the intranets.
So cheers to a quiet Monday thinking quiet thoughts.
